Days of Special Interest
The society also runs Days of Special Interest (DSI) which give members and guests the opportunity to learn in more detail about selected topics for example, English silver or furniture. They are held locally, in pleasant surroundings such as a church hall and include morning coffee and a 2-course home-cooked lunch. There are also usually two visits per year to national or international sites of interest. There is an additional cost for these events but demand is strong as it is a chance to get to know the specialist, ask questions and, of course, enjoy a sociable and friendly day.
